A visitor will always be judging your website from the first pageload. Sometimes this could be an internal page but most of the time people will land directly onto your homepage. The job of a web designer is to captivate their audience with a stunning homepage website layout complete with beautiful graphics, usable navigation links, and plenty of relatable content. The problem is that every homepage looks different so there is no winning formula – but it’s precisely because of these differences that a homepage will stand out from the masses.
In this post I’ve organised a series of homepage website layouts from Dribbble designers. Some layouts have gone live on the Internet while others have been posted simply as design mockups. Either way you can learn a lot from these homepages to determine what you like, what you don’t, and figure out why certain designs make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
